An austere, linear style offsets this table's substantial proportions. I.C.S. Tavolo was created by Roberto Lazzeroni in 1999, taking inspiration from 20th-century Italian design. Part of a collection that was originally broad and comprehensive (which includes I.C.S. Tavolino, Consolle, Scrivania, Credenza), this piece is made from solid American walnut and veneered plywood. Available in various dimensions – round, oval, square or rectangular – its most distinctive and innovative feature is its scored texture, also shared by the storage furniture in the same collection. The effect is created by pressing overlapping veneers on top of each other before milling them to create a sort of knurling effect. This stylistic choice confers elegance and helps makes Ceccotti Collezioni a leader in craftsmanship. The base frame is made from satin stainless steel, but is also available in burnished brass to meet different style requirements.
