Two contrasting souls in the same piece of furniture: the simplicity of form and the memory of traditional wood craftsmanship. Odile is a living room coffee table with a solid American walnut frame. Designed by DRAW Studio in 2020, it comes in various sizes and two different shapes: square or rectangular. The idea of lightness was pursued both aesthetically and in the construction techniques. Ceccotti Collezioni worked by subtraction, without compromising its stability. The elliptical sections of the solid walnut were reduced to a minimum, as were the crosspieces that join the legs. The company took the same approach towards the top. For the marble version a specific method of craftsmanship was adopted with the aim of thinning the slabs to create sheets of stone 6 mm thick. This solution made it possible to lay them flush with the wood as well as to lighten the wooden frame. The version in glass, also laid flush with the wood, comes in three different finishes: transparent, burnished or smoked.
